It's always possible Stella has it wrong too. Unless the results you're getting are obviously wrong somehow?

Been a long time since I did the 4D Waterman stuff, so I don't remember how exactly, but I think it was a pretty direct extrapolation from 3D. The hardest part is probably getting the 4D convex hull algorithm to work, but if you're using qhull then I expect that should work.

The triangles and pentagons don't meet at square vertices. Cut any amount off and it will always be a rectangle. If you could "untruncate" the one with true squares, you'd end up with extra little edges where you were expecting vertices. I think they went with the name anyway since it's a truncation...

It's not possible to make the pentagons regular. If it was you would have discovered new Johson solids. But the top and bottom polygons are regular.

Just to follow this up for anyone else reading, melograno has fixed their issue now. It was related to moving the .tour files to a new folder. Probbaly because the full path of the new folder was just too long, and Stella has a limit on this. Also if you move a .tour file, it may not be able to find...
