### Re: Printing Part of a Net: Stellated Snub Dodecahedron

Cool. That's kind of the brute force method. The other ways may be more useful in the general case.

### Re: Printing Part of a Net: Stellated Snub Dodecahedron

There are several ways: Nets->Maximum Faces Per Net - In your example, set this to 5 and it will probably do what you want. Colour one or all sections as you want it (which I see you already have) and then select Nets->Nets/Paper Color Mixing->One Color Per Net/Page . If only one section is coloured...

### Re: Pentagonal Hexecontahedron Variation

As you may have found, if you use augmentation, there isn't a way to make the new faces coplanar with existing ones. However there's an easy way to create this model, using stellation. Make sure you have a stellation view open: https://i.postimg.cc/kgzCS0WH/image.png Also select the option to show t...

### Re: Excluding facetings where the face's vertices lie on its edges?

So the dual property, the property we'd find in the faceting, would be a vertex where two or more faces meet that lie in the same plane.

I guess it would be possible, but no there's no automated way to skip those at the moment.

### Re: Noble polyhedra. Where can I find them?

Stellations in Stella are found via combinations of stellation cells, and consist of only externally accessible faces (no hidden parts of faces). So it's not aware about how or whether facelets in the same plane can be combined into larger faces. So it's not good for finding isohedra. There are some...

### Re: Certain cuploids break Stella

I can replicate the issue. The spring relaxation system is used to generate these, so I'm not surprised there are limits on it. I would need to calculate the coordinates explicitly instead. Some day I'll look into it. For now I have a lot to do to get Stella back into a releasable state, but I'll ge...

### Re: Noble polyhedra. Where can I find them?

Although I added features to Stella to make them easy to find, I unfortunately never got around to publishing my results. But polyart on this forum is getting a paper published about them soon. I'll direct him to this thread, in case he hasn't seen it already. They can be found as facetings of isogo...

### Re: Noble polyhedra. Where can I find them?

If you have Great Stella or Stella4D, then they can be found in the library, in the Bruckner folder: https://i.postimg.cc/9fmD1HN2/image.png And since Stella shows you the dual as well, and nobles are all duals of other nobles, you get two at once: https://i.postimg.cc/MG1SF9XY/image.png You'll even...

### Re: Is there a Default Settings tab hidden away somewhere?

There isn't really a page of default options anywhere, but you may be able to restore some of it by saving a default file. Use "File->Save Default Scene". Whatever scene you save there will automatically be reloaded when you restart the program, along with whatever settings were saved with that scen...

### Re: How to measure Vertex Angles

Hi John, Yep that can be done. From the menu, enable "Display->Show Vertex Angles" Select a vertex (Either Shift+Left-click, or double-click on a vertex) It will show angles related to that vertex, like below. https://i.postimg.cc/4xpGMx5Q/image.png Measurement Mode could be used to measure angles m...

### Puzzle: count the cubes!

I put together a little puzzle, to count intersecting cubes. You can test your answers and I just added hints in the form of colours. https://www.software3d.com/PuzzleHowManyCubes.php http://localhost/StellaWebSite/Puzzle/HowManyCubesSmall.png Let me know how you go! But please don't post the answer...

Sorry there's no way to batch export. But hopefully the .OFF format contains what you need.

### Re: Exporting incidence relations

There's no incidence matrix as such. And you can't export 4D polytopes as 4D data. But for 3D polyhedra you can export to .OFF format, which gives a list of vertices, and then a list of vertex indices for each face. You may be able to extract what you need from that. And just curious, but what do yo...

### Re: Internal Parts

Ulrich, your answer won't be able to create the internal parts I used, because they have other planes, planes through the centre of the compound. I'd go to a stellation view and put the model in a memory slot. Then open a dodecahedron, scale it down, and add it to the memory slot. This will put a sm...

### Re: Printing nets without edges?

Hi, I'm afraid you can't stop the edges being printed. Would be difficult I think to figure out which dots connected to which without the lines. I should add an option to alter the colour of shade of the lines though so you can make them lighter. For now all you can do is make sure the Line Widths -...
